About me

My name is Glauco Soares and I am a trained Psychologist (Brazil) and Integrative Psychotherapist & Counsellor (UK).
As a member of the Berufsverband Deutscher Psychologinnen und Psychologen (BDP), British Psychological Society (BPS) and British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) I abide by the ethical code of these professional bodies.
I am most happy when I can explore new things, learn from/with others and have the time and space to reflect.
After moving to the UK from Brazil in 1999 I have lived in a variety of places (Germany, Brazil, London, Kent), worked in several different sectors and restaured three houses from scratch. In summer 2021 I moved back to the South-West of Germany where I now live with my family. I am a traveller by heart and avid inventor since childhood.
My approach
As a psychologist, pyschotherapist and counsellor I have worked with adults, children and teenagers in a variety of settings (hospitals, private clinics, counselling centers and schools). Based on my training I offer an integrative approach, drawing from a range of psychologically-grounded frameworks, philosophies and techniques such as Pychoanalysis, Existentialism, Humanistic therapy and Mindfulness.
My areas of interest include pluralistic therapy, Freudian and Jungian analysis, Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
